Based on the world's first energy-efficient, Carbon-Free VIA C7?-D processor, the VIA VB7002 expands the VIA VB range of cost-effective embedded system platforms, offering superb media playback and a full feature set geared towards industrial PC, automation and data storage system designers.

The VB7002 features the VIA CN896 chipset for superb graphics and video playback. The VIA Chromotion? video engine offers hardware acceleration for the latest video codecs for a smooth multimedia playback while the VIA Chrome9? IGP Graphics Core offers DirectX 9.0 capable 3D graphics and reliable 2D imaging in productivity applications.

The VB7002 uses a carbon free 1.5GHz VIA C7?-D processor and supports up to 4GB of the latest DDR2 system memory. The flexible yet rich feature set includes 2 S-ATA II ports, an UltraDMA port, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, Hi-Definition audio and up to 6 USB 2.0 ports, a PCI slot and up to 2 COM ports.

Fully compatible with Microsoft? Windows? 2000/XP, CE and XPe, and Linux operating systems, the VIA VB7002 offers a comprehensive suite of drivers and is also fully compatible with all Mini-ITX, FlexATX and MicroATX chassis and associated accessories.
